Job Information
Position

We are seeking casual Support Workers to join our Residential Support Service.  These client specific positions require male Support Workers.  The Residential Support Service supports clients to live well and independently within an accommodation setting of their choice.
These positions are ideal if you want to work in a rewarding job and have the flexibility of casual employment.
Duties
  • Provide flexible and responsive support services to clients in accordance with the goals identified in their Individual Recovery Plan
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and key stakeholders
  • Identify and assist in locating resources, services and supports and facilitating access to community resources including social, educational, vocational, recreational and leisure activities
  • Encourage and support clients to develop and enhance daily living skills

Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Experience in supporting clients with challenging behaviours
A Certificate in Disability, Mental Health or a related discipline is required.

The following licences and clearances are required:

  • Current ‘C’ Class driver’s licence
  • Positive criminal history screening (Open Minds will facilitate if you are not in the possession of a Yellow Card)
